Get on your outdoor clothing and a pair of gloves if you have them (some can be provided), and join us to help grow and care for thousands of plants for local restoration and community projects. We’ll be potting up baby plants and carrying out maintenance tasks including watering, weeding, pruning, and cleaning. You’ll learn lots more about what it takes to care for our native species from the very start of their lives. Bring own lunch and water. A hat for sunny days and a raincoat and boots on wet days.
Wednesdays 10am - 12pm (excluding public holidays).

We love our volunteers. If you fancy being part of an indispensable team of like-minded superheroes, get in touch! Our trusty tribe of volunteers come from all backgrounds and from all over the city (and the world!) and would love to meet you.
Please remember the golden rule though, stay home if you are sick.
Based in Auckland in Aotearoa New Zealand, EcoMatters is an established charitable trust that was formed in 2002. We work with and for the community to deliver environmental initiatives in partnership with key entities like Auckland Council, the Ministry for the Environment, other not-for-profits and community groups. We do this by supporting the community with knowledge and tools to restore nature, reduce waste, ride and fix bikes, and live more sustainably. We also run workshops and provide opportunities for hands-on environmental action in Auckland.
