A local government agency in Auckland is looking for enthusiastic Museum Assistants to join their Visitor Services Team. This ongoing role involves assisting visitors, selling tickets and merchandise, and supporting various events. Ideal candidates will have customer service experience and great communication skills. Commitment to long-term employment is essential, especially during peak periods. The role offers an hourly rate of $28.95.

Join the team at the New Zealand Maritime Museum – Hui Te Ananui a Tangaroa, a place where Aotearoa’s maritime stories come to life. Located on Hobson Wharf in the Viaduct, we’re looking for enthusiastic Museum Assistants to join our Visitor Services Team in ongoing casual roles.
This is not just a summer job – we’re looking for people who are committed to staying on with us. Christmas and New Year is our busiest period, so availability then is essential.
As the welcoming face of the museum, you’ll help visitors with tickets, retail sales, and vessel trips, while also supporting events and programmes that showcase our maritime stories.
