Job summary

sKids in Queenstown is looking for a Multisite Assistant Programme Manager to support morning and afternoon sessions. This part-time role (minimum 10 hours per week, Mon–Fri) offers hands-on leadership with tamariki, supervising staff, and ensuring safe, fun activities across school sites in Remarkables, Shotover and Queenstown Primary.

You'll step into 2IC when needed, help plan activities, manage behaviour, liaise with parents and school staff, and enjoy a supportive team, work-life balance,

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of children (e.g., OSCAR, childcare, coaching, camps).
• Able to step into a leadership role when needed and take initiative.
• Experience managing behaviour in group settings.
• Team player who can both support and lead others.
• Clear communication with children, parents and school staff.

Responsibilities

• Support the Programme Manager in the day-to-day running of the sKids programme.
• Step up as 2IC – lead sessions and take charge when the Programme Manager is away.
• Supervise and engage large groups of tamariki, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and fun environment.
• Assist in planning and delivering structured activities including arts & crafts, sports, games, and offsite trips.
• Support with managing challenging behaviour, using positive guidance strategies.
• Help guide and support Programme Assistants on shift.
• Build positive relationships with parents, caregivers and school staff.
• Assist with set-up, pack-down, and preparation of resources.
