Job summary

Health New Zealand Waitematā is seeking a New Zealand registered MRI Medical Imaging Technologist to join the Radiology Team at North Shore Hospital. You will work in a modern facility with DR X-ray rooms, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and PACs support.

The role focuses on producing high quality diagnostic images while delivering a friendly, efficient service. Applicants should hold a Bachelor of Health Science in Medical Imaging, a post graduate MRI Diploma, NZ MRTB registration, and an APC with MRI

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Health Science in Medical Imaging or equivalent.
• Postgraduate Diploma in MRI required or in progress.
• Current NZ MRTB registration and APC MRI scope.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic MRI images.
• Ensure a patient‑focused, efficient service.
• Maintain accurate imaging records and workflow in Radiology.

About the Role

The Radiology Team at North Shore Hospital are looking for a New Zealand Registered MRI Medical Imaging Technologist to join their supportive & enthusiastic team. Our department is equipped with new DR X-ray rooms, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Mammography, Fluoroscopy unit plus we have dedicated Theatre and PACs teams.

This role is responsible for producing high quality diagnostic images, ensuring an effective and efficient customer-focused service is provided at all times.

About you

You will hold a Bachelor of Health Science in Medical Imaging or equivalent, as well as a post graduate diploma in MRI. Current registration with the New Zealand MRTB is essential, as well as a current APC with MRI scope of practice. Experience while gaining your MRI post graduate qualification is required, and previous experience working in a busy Radiology Department would be advantageous.
