Job summary

DD HIRE LIMITED is seeking multiple motor mechanics in Auckland to repair, maintain and test motor vehicles and related mechanical components. This full-time role requires a minimum of 30 hours per week and offers opportunities to work on engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.

The successful candidates will diagnose faults, perform maintenance and repairs, and ensure quality workmanship with a strong commitment to health and workplace safety.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year work experience or a NZ Level 4 qualification.
• Good work attitude and communication skills.
• Strong motivation and eye for detail; health and safety oriented.

Responsibilities

• Identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and vehicle components.
• Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other vehicle parts for inspection and assessment.
• Repair or replace faulty and defective components, and reassemble mechanical systems following service manual guidelines.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups, to enhance vehicle performance and ensure compliance with pollution regulations.
• Reassemble engines and vehicle parts after repairs are completed.
• Test and adjust mechanical components post-repair to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and test parts using electronic diagnostic tools and equipment.
