Job summary

Cater Plus is seeking a friendly Catering Assistant / Barista for the Auckland City Police Hub café. This permanent part-time role (22.5 hours/week) runs Monday to Friday from 5:30am to 10:00am, with an immediate start. You will support early operations, serve high-quality coffee, and help ensure smooth daily service for police staff.

The role requires barista skills, food safety awareness, and reliable teamwork. Police Vetting and NZ work rights are required.

Qualifications

• Previous café, hospitality, catering, or barista experience.
• Able to pass Police Vetting.
• Must have legal right to work in New Zealand.
• Full New Zealand driver licence.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 15 kg.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve barista‑made coffee and beverages.
• Assist with food preparation, presentation and service.
• Maintain café cleanliness and food safety standards.
• Support daily café operations and customer service requirements.
• Assist with food deliveries and stock collection when required.
• Lift and carry boxes and supplies up to 15kg.
• Work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment with a positive attitude.
