Job summary

An established industry player is looking for a passionate Mokopuna Ora Lead to uplift the wellbeing of hapū māmā, pēpi, and whānau. Job description

Are you passionate about uplifting the wellbeing of hapū māmā, pēpi and whānau? Do you have the leadership skills to guide a kaupapa Māori team grounded in aroha, whanaungatanga and manaaki?

We’re seeking a committed, visionary Mokopuna Ora Lead to join our organisation and drive impactful, culturally rooted maternal and child wellbeing initiatives across Hauraki/Waikato. You will lead a small but dedicated rōpū working alongside hapū whānau, pēpi, and tamariki, ensuring they are supported with holistic care and strengthened connections to Te Ao Māori.

As the Mokopuna Ora Lead, you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Mokopuna Ora programme.
  • Support and supervise kaimahi delivering wraparound care for whānau.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with local health and social service providers.
  • Champion kaupapa Māori models of care that honour mātauranga Māori and whānau aspirations.
  • Develop and strengthen pathways that support māmā and whānau experiencing mental health challenges, with a particular focus on postnatal wellbeing.
  • Report on programme impact and support continuous improvement to meet whānau needs.
