Job summary

The New Zealand Automobile Association Inc. is hiring a Mobile Tech Lead to own the AA's mobile platform and drive the technical evolution of our iOS and Android apps. You will balance hands-on coding with people leadership, shaping architecture, standards, and release processes.

You will lead a mobile engineering team, mentor engineers, and partner with product and design to deliver secure, high-performing experiences. Hybrid work and ongoing learning are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading mobile engineering teams.
• Strong expertise in Flutter/Dart and cross-platform mobile development.
• Hands-on coding while driving architecture and best practices.
• Experience delivering iOS and Android applications at scale.

Combining hands-on engineering with people and technical leadership, you'll lead and develop the mobile engineering team in building secure, high-performing and scalable mobile experiences while partnering closely with product, design and engineering stakeholders to bring features to life. From architecture and coding standards through to release management, CI/CD automation and AI-enabled engineering practices, you'll play a critical role in shaping how our mobile products are built, delivered and continuously improved.About You | MōuYou’re a passionate mobile engineering leader who thrives on balancing strategy with hands-on delivery. You'll bring deep expertise in Flutter/Dart, a strong understanding of modern mobile architecture, and a proven track record delivering successful applications across both iOS and Android platforms. You'll remain hands-on, writing and reviewing production code alongside the team and taking on complex engineering work, while leading, mentoring and developing the engineers around you. You’ll drive engineering excellence and work across teams to deliver seamless customer experiences.
