Job summary

FIRST Security in Timaru is seeking a Mobile Patrol Officer to keep client sites secure on the road. You’ll patrol routes, respond to alarms, and support fellow officers, with a focus on safe, professional service.

This role offers rotating day and night shifts, 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 24 hours per week, plus full training. A clean NZ driver's licence and MOJ check are required; COA support is available.

Qualifications

• A 'can do' attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Ability to think quickly and stay calm under pressure.
• Confidence in managing and resolving conflict.
• Good level of physical fitness.
• Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice Criminal Convictions check.
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

• Conducting mobile patrols across assigned routes
• Checking client properties and ensuring site security

• Supporting other officers when required
