Overview

Mitek Detailer - Frame & Truss – Christchurch | Full-Time

We are looking for an experienced Mitek Detailer to join a busy and growing frame & truss team based in Christchurch. In this role, you'll use Mitek 20/20 or Sapphire software to produce accurate layouts and shop drawings, working closely with builders, engineers, and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret architectural and structural plans
• Create detailed frame and truss designs
• Produce cutting lists and material take-offs
• Work with the team to solve design issues
• Ensure designs meet NZ Building Code and NZS3604
• Help with QA checks and maintain accurate records

Qualifications

• 5+ years' detailing experience in NZ
• Skilled in Mitek 20/20 or Sapphire
• Strong knowledge of NZ building practices and codes
• Great eye for detail and problem-solving
• Good communicator and team player
• Valid driver's license

Bonus

• Trade qualification in carpentry, drafting, or similar
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of timber prefab systems
