A leading coal mining company in Westport is seeking an experienced Mining Engineer to join their Technical Services Team. This role focuses on short-term mine planning and requires a commitment to health and safety, along with at least 3 years of opencast experience. The Stockton Opencast Mine is located close to the coast on a plateau in the Buller coalfield, 35 km north of Westport. This is one of New Zealand’s largest mines with a long history of coal production and produces high value coal for export to the world’s leading steel makers.

About The Role:
Are you a skilled Mining Engineer with a passion for innovation? We're looking for an experienced professional to join our Technical Services Team at the Stockton Opencast operation. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the planning and development of our coal mine, specifically focused on Short-term Mine Planning.
