Job summary

Higgins in Christchurch is seeking a skilled Milling Operator to join our road maintenance and civil works crew. You will operate milling machinery to remove existing road surfaces safely and efficiently, working with the crew to deliver high-quality outcomes on busy projects.

The ideal candidate has proven milling machine experience, a valid Class 2 or 4 licence (WTR endorsement a bonus), and a safety-first approach.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating milling machines or similar heavy plant.
• Strong understanding of road construction and milling processes.
• A safety-first mindset for yourself, your team, and the public.
• Class 2 or 4 licence (WTR endorsement an advantage).
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, flexible, and committed - ready to work rain or shine.
• Ability to work nights or on call when required.
