Job summary

Wells in Auckland is recruiting Metering Technicians to carry metering maintenance and deployment of smart meters across the region. You will perform electrical work with a focus on safety, data accuracy, and customer service, and be prepared to travel to various sites.

A full NZ driver's license is required, and eligibility for NZ electrical registration is preferred. Typically 40–45 hour weeks with competitive hourly pay, varying from $29.70 to $36.00 per hour, and a provided work vehicle.

Qualifications

• Applicants must possess prior experience and competencies for carrying out electrical work.
• NZ Electrical registration or overseas registration with NZ practical experience is considered.
• Metering experience in any capacity will be assessed.

We are currently recruiting Metering Technicians for metering work in the Auckland region to carry metering maintenance to existing assets and deployment of smart meters.

Applicants must possess prior experience and competencies for carrying out electrical work. As a successful candidate, you will be motivated by achieving challenging targets and will be seeking a role where your initiative, productivity and strong work ethic is rewarded with opportunities for growth and advancement.

We're looking for recruits with either:

• Overseas Electrical Registration with New Zealand practical experience,
• NZ Electrical (a minimum of 1 year of practical experience), or
• Metering experience in any capacity, which will be assessed and considered.

• Demonstrated knowledge of workplace health & safety requirements
• Numeracy, literacy and accurate data entry
• Electrical testing experience
• Electrical installation (metering)
• Working on single and multiple phase electrical installations
• Following health and safety guidelines
• Using hand tools
• Working with handheld data recording devices
• Energy Industry experience
• Computer – Familiarity with applications such as Microsoft Email, Excel, Word, Teams
