Job summary

Goodman Fielder is seeking a Field Merchandising Team Leader to manage the Dunedin to Timaru region on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will lead a team of Merchandisers, ensuring our brands are well stocked, presented, and easy to find in-store.

You’ll coach and develop your team, build strong store relationships with Woolworths NZ, Foodstuffs and other partners, and use Salesforce and retailer platforms to drive in-store execution.

Field Merchandising Team Leader - Dunedin to Timaru6-Month Fixed-Term Contract | Company Vehicle | FMCGLead a great team, bring our iconic brands to life and make an impact in-store.The OpportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for a Field Merchandising Team Leader to join Goodman Fielder on a 6-month fixed-term contract, looking after the Dunedin to Timaru region.You'll lead a team of Merchandisers, ensuring our much-loved brands are well stocked, professionally presented and easy for customers to find. This is a hands-on role where you'll build strong store relationships, support your team in the field and help deliver great execution across our retail partners.If you enjoy leading people, getting out and about, and seeing the results of your work on the shop floor, this could be the role for you!What you will doLead the day-to-day execution of Goodman Fielder's merchandising programme across your region.Coach, motivate and develop your team, ensuring they're well trained and set up for success.Ensure our products are available, well stocked and professionally presented in-store.Build strong working relationships with store teams across Woolworths NZ, Foodstuffs and other retail partners.Work closely with the Regional Field Manager to deliver merchandising priorities and improve in-store performance.Roll up your sleeves and support your team with hands-on merchandising and manual handling when needed.Use technology and systems, including Salesforce and retailer platforms, to support effective field execution.What you will bringExperience leading, coaching or motivating a team, with the ability to bring out the best in others.Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.Excellent planning, organisation and attention to detail.A practical, hands-on attitude and willingness to get stuck in alongside your team.FMCG or merchandising experience is advantageous, but not essential.Confidence using technology and learning new systems - we'll help you get up to speed.A current driver's licence and valid New Zealand working rights are essential.About usAt Goodman Fielder, our purpose is Making everyday food better for everyone.
