A large seafood company in New Zealand is seeking dynamic individuals for permanent part-time merchandising roles. The successful candidates will carry out in-store merchandising and display builds at various Pak n Save and New World stores in greater Christchurch. Previous experience in merchandising is preferred, but not essential. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are vital. The role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to make a significant impact in the team.

Qualifications

  • Reasonable level of fitness required.
  • Must have a current full clean driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake in-store merchandising and display builds at various stores.

  • Ensure merchandising is done by 7am to meet business requirements.

The Roles

You will be part of the South Island merchandising team and have a key role by undertaking in-store merchandising of our frozen and ambient (canned and pocket) products and display builds at various Pak n Save and New World stores in greater Christchurch. We have two roles, these roles are permanent part-time, at various Pak n Save and New World stores in greater Christchurch. The successful candidate will undertake “cut carton merchandising” and have sharp presentation skills and an eye for detail.

Role 1

Rolleston Pak n Save and Rolleston New World (merchandising & display builds) on Mondays and Thursdays (3 hours per week plus display hours).

Role 2

At various Pak n Save and New World stores in greater Christchurch (Mondays and Thursdays – total 6.5 hours per week plus extra on Sundays for display weeks). Pak n Save stores to be merchandised by 7am to meet the requirements of the business. Stores included for merchandising and display builds: Hornby and Riccarton Pak n Saves, Halswell, Fendalton and Ilam New Worlds and display builds only at Wigram, Lincoln and Bishopdale New Worlds.

What are we looking for?
  • Previous experience in merchandising preferably in FMCG however this is not essential.
  • Customer focused and a dedicated team member.
  • Passionate about our products.
  • Reasonable level of fitness.
  • Ability to lift heavy grocery items – up to 10kg.
  • A current full clean driver’s license and have use of a personal motor vehicle.
Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with previous experience in merchandising, preferably in FMCG however this is not essential. Your strong communication skills will be vital as you will be in constant communication with internal and external customers. Customer focused and a dedicated team member, you will be passionate about our products and have the energy and determination to really want to make your mark. You may be a parent wanting to return to the workforce or someone who has other employment and wants to pick up extra hours.

A satisfactory pre-employment drug test and a physical medical assessment may be required to be considered for this role. Applicants must have legal entitlement to live and work in New Zealand.
