Job summary

Woolworths Group New Zealand is seeking a merchandising leader to drive in-store freshness, quality and visual presentation across our Fresh category. You will oversee planograms, store cleanliness, campaigns alignment and stock control while promoting Own Brand products.

You will lead teams, collaborate across functions, and step in as Acting Store Manager on scheduled shifts, bringing strong problem-solving and communication to our diverse stores.

• Champion Freshness & Quality: Conduct regular walks and audits to ensure high standards of quality and freshness, particularly for fresh food production.
• Drive Visual Merchandising Excellence: Oversee planogram accuracy, store cleanliness, stock loss, markdowns, and ensure consistent campaign alignment across all displays.
• Promote Brand & Team Advocacy: Champion 'Own Brand' products and empower the team to act as effective food ambassadors.
• Optimize Operations & Resolve Issues: Address process-related issues, conduct health checks to identify improvements, and ensure efficient functional performance.
• Provide Leadership & Foster Collaboration: Step in as Acting Store Manager on scheduled shifts and actively participate in team collaboration initiatives.
