Job summary

Woolworths Group New Zealand in Levin is seeking an energetic store Operations Lead to manage flow for a dedicated workstream, ensure food safety compliance, and uphold production standards for fresh items.

You will lead a swarm, coach teammates, and step in as Acting Store Manager on scheduled shifts, while driving merchandising, efficiency, and customer focus.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering operational excellence and process improvement.
• Ability to lead teams, coach, and provide feedback.
• Strong compliance knowledge with clear communication of tasks and standards.
• Willingness to work four weekend shifts per month and at least one evening per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead Operational Excellence: ensure timely routines, food safety/SF5 compliance, and production standards for fresh items.
• Drive Visual Merchandising: manage product presentation and displays, promotions, and stock integrity.
• Champion Team Development: guide the swarm, provide on-the-job training, and maintain a safe, healthy work environment.
• Proactively Resolve Issues: escalate health checks and implement functional improvements.
• Provide Store-Wide Leadership: act as Store Manager on scheduled shifts and participate in Better Together initiatives.
