Qualifications

• Advanced life science degree (Pharm.D., Ph.D., or M.D.).
• Minimum 3 years experience as MSL or related medical affairs role.
• Deep therapeutic area expertise in oncology, cardiology, or relevant field.
• Proven ability to engage with KOLs and relay complex data clearly.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the territory.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary scientific resource and therapeutic area expert for HCPs and KOLs.
• Establish and maintain relationships with KOLs and clinicians in the territory.
• Deliver scientific and clinical information regarding company products and therapies.
• Gather insights from KOLs on clinical practice and research trends.
• Support clinical trial activities, including investigator identification and site engagement.
• Represent the company at scientific congresses and medical meetings.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly knowledgeable and experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join their team covering the Queenstown territory. In this field-based role, you will be the scientific expert for our key pharmaceutical products, engaging with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to foster scientific exchange and support clinical understanding. You will build strong relationships, present complex scientific data, and gather valuable insights that inform our medical strategy. This position requires extensive travel within the designated territory and is crucial for advancing our scientific communication and relationships within the medical community, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is disseminated effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary scientific resource and therapeutic area expert for healthcare professionals and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with KOLs and other influential clinicians within the assigned territory.
• Deliver scientific and clinical information regarding company products and therapeutic areas accurately and compliantly.
• Gather insights from KOLs on clinical practice, unmet medical needs, and research trends.
• Support clinical trial activities, including investigator identification and site engagement.
• Represent the company at scientific congresses, symposia, and other medical meetings.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree (Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D.) in a relevant life science discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison or in a related medical affairs role.
• Deep therapeutic area expertise in (Specify Therapeutic Area, e.g., Oncology, Cardiology).
• Proven ability to engage effectively with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and understand complex scientific data.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
