Job summary

AfterQuery is seeking certified medical coders to author and grade coding scenarios for frontier AI labs. This is consultancy work as independent contractors, with remote, async collaboration and pay per hour.

You should have CPC or CCS certification, 2+ years of production coding, deep ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS experience, and strong written English. Minimum 10 hours per week, weekly Stripe payments. Rates $65–$95 per hour.

Certified medical coders to build the coding and documentation scenarios frontier AI labs use to test model judgment. AfterQuery builds the expert evaluation data that frontier AI labs use to measure and improve their models. We're hiring certified medical coders as contractors to author and grade the coding and documentation scenarios those evaluations run on. Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Inpatient coding, risk adjustment, or E/M auditing experience
• Additional credentials such as CIC, CRC, or CPMA
• Experience training or auditing other coders
