We are looking for an experienced Senior Nurse that can assess and ensure the fitness and well-being of our people across a variety of workgroups, particularly our Communicator Roles - Emergency Centre and Non-Emergency.

Key Accountabilities:

• You will act as a source of specialist information and advice in the pre-employment medical clearance process.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and understanding of medical language as is relevant to medical assessments during the recruiting process into police.
• Providing advice and recommendations to applicants following the outcome of the medical clearance.
• Ensuring ongoing well-being of our people with regular check-ups and health promotion initiatives including written articles and presentations to workgroups withing Police.
• Ensures clients who attend the RNZPC Health Clinic are provided with an excellent primary care and occupational health service and are assessed, treated, and referred on as appropriate.
• Administering vaccinations and providing occupational health services where applicable.

Qualifications Required:

• Successful applicants must be a NZRegistered Comprehensive or General Nurse and have, or willing to attain independent vaccinator status.
• Successful applicants must have a minimum of five (5) years of contemporary knowledge and experience in general nursing, primary health care or occupational health.
• Successful applicants must have a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) with the Nursing Council of NZ with no restrictions.
• Previous demonstrated experience in Mental Health.
• Excellent computer skills including Full Microsoft suite, Outlook & Medtech Evolution. You will be working across several computer platforms.

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $88,179 and $92,267 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role and would be pro rata for a part time position.
