Job summary

DIALOG Fitzroy is seeking experienced Mechanical Tradespeople for our Whangarei workshop. Join a team delivering fabrication and welding for complex industrial assets across New Zealand and Australia, with opportunities to support projects regionally.

You will bring 3+ years in pressure vessel and piping fabrication welding, a mechanical trade qualification (NZ standards preferred), and ASME experience. Enjoy ongoing training, overtime opportunities, and a safe, professional work environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience in pressure vessel and piping fabrication welding.
• Relevant Mechanical Engineering trade qualification or NZ standards equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year experience with applicable ASME procedures.
• Ability to interpret workshop drawings, isometric drawings, plant diagrams and construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld pressure vessels and piping per drawings.
• Maintain quality workmanship and safe working practices.
• Contribute to varied industrial projects across Whangarei and beyond.

DIALOG Fitzroy is looking for experienced Fabrication and Welding Tradespeople to join our expanding Whangarei workshop team , with opportunities to support projects across Whangarei and other regions as required.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering a minimum of 40 hours per week, opportunities for overtime, ongoing training and varied work across a diverse range of industrial projects.

With continued growth, increasing demand from existing clients and a strong forward workload, we're looking for skilled tradespeople to join our team.

• Competitive pay of $38.85-$39.28 per hour , depending on applicable contract

About the Role

As a Mechanical Tradesman , you'll bring:

• At least 3 years' experience in pressure vessel & piping fabrication welding (Essential)
• A relevant Mechanical Engineering trade qualification or indentured trade qualification (or equivalent to NZ standards) preferred
• At least 1 year experience with applicable ASME procedures (Essential)
• The ability to interpret workshop and engineering drawings, isometric drawings, plant diagrams and construction plans
• A strong commitment to quality workmanship and safe working practices
• Experience completing bolt-up tasks
