Job summary

DIALOG Fitzroy is seeking experienced stainless-steel welders/fabricators for our New Plymouth workshop with some site work in or outside the Taranaki region. This permanent, full-time role supports a growing workload across diverse industrial sectors in New Zealand.

Join a safety‑driven team delivering quality fabrication across vessel and pipework projects, with opportunities for overtime, training and relocation assistance where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience in stainless steel welding and fabrication.
• Proven TIG/GTAW welding experience across stainless-steel pipework, plate and vessels.
• Ability to interpret welding procedure specifications, engineering drawings, piping isometrics, weld symbols, and plant diagrams.

is seeking experienced Stainless-Steel Welders/Fabricators to join our New Plymouth workshop with some site work within or outside the Taranaki region. These permanent, full-time positions will support current projects and our growing workload across a diverse range of industrial sectors.

What You Will Bring

• Relevant Mechanical Engineering trade qualification or completion of a recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent to NZ standards) preferred
• Minimum of three years' experience in stainless steel welding and fabrication is essential
• Proven TIG/GTAW welding experience across stainless-steel pipework, plate and vessels
• Strong steel vessel fabrication, fitting and joint preparation skills for stainless steel vessels and structures
• Ability to interpret welding procedure specifications, engineering drawings, piping isometrics, weld symbols, and plant diagrams
• Experience cutting, grinding, forming, tacking and assembling stainless steel components
• Vessel fabrication experience highly regarded
• Strong commitment to health and safety, reliable attention to quality, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a fabrication team
