Seipp is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to help plan and deliver mechanical works across water, wastewater and infrastructure projects in Christchurch. This is a hands-on project-delivery role that covers design through handover.

Seipp is looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to help plan and deliver mechanical works across water, wastewater and infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on project-delivery role that will take you from design and constructability review through procurement, fabrication, installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
We recognise that this is a broad role. You may already be an experienced Project Engineer ready to take ownership of complex mechanical work packages, or you may be an Engineer who has built strong practical experience and is ready to step up.
Either way, we are interested in what you can bring now and where you are capable of growing. You will work closely with our General Manager – Mechanical and an experienced delivery team, with support to strengthen your project, commercial and technical capability.
You will help turn mechanical designs and technical requirements into safe, practical and well-planned project delivery. Your work will include:
You will be practical, organized and comfortable taking ownership of work through to completion. You will also bring:
Experience in water, wastewater, pumping, piping, process systems, fabrication or infrastructure delivery would be valuable. Exposure to procurement, programming, commercial management, 3D modelling, shop drawings or commissioning would also be an advantage.
You do not need to have mastered every aspect of the position. If you have a strong mechanical foundation, practical delivery experience and the drive to develop into a broader project-engineering role, we would like to hear from you.
