Job summary

A local Christchurch business is seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters to assemble, install, maintain, and repair industrial equipment. Candidates should have proven experience and be skilled in MIG welding. This role offers a competitive hourly rate, tool allowance, and travel allowance when required. Additional weekend work may be available. Successful applicants will need to pass a drug and alcohol screening.

Salary: NZD29 - NZD40 per hour + Tool + Travel Allowance

Skilled Mechanical Fitters with a proven track record of experience required.

About the Role

• Assemble, install, maintain and repair industrial equipment
• Diagnose faults and resolve as required
• Work on a variety of equipment in different settings
• Hands on and practical
• Health & Safety prioritised

What we need

• Previous varifiable experience as a Mechanical Fitter
• Skilled MIG welding essential, ideally able to multi process weld - ARC, MIG & TIG
• High attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
• Have own tools as well as reliable transport
• Able to pass a Drug and Alcohol Screening as well as a Ministry of Justice Check
