Job summary

Stantec's Buildings team in New Zealand is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our high performing team in Wellington. You will support the wider Mechanical team with technical expertise across a diverse range of projects, from feasibility through to construction and commissioning.

You will conduct site surveys, prepare calculations, specifications and drawings, and communicate with clients to ensure optimal solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience across project sizes from low rise to high rise building projects.
• Involvement in data centres, health, laboratories, industrial, education and infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical expertise to drive positive project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys, field investigations and feasibility studies for proposed projects.
• Produce calculations, specifications, and drawings (concept to detailed designs) and reports with guidance from senior staff.
• Maintain client communications and develop ongoing contacts as required.
• Contribute to proposals, bid development, and fee estimates.
