Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Christchurch Building Services team. You will lead mechanical design work, deliver HVAC and related systems, and work with clients, architects and contractors on projects across New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Around 5–10 years' experience within building services consulting.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building systems.
• Experience delivering projects across commercial, healthcare, education, transport, aviation or public sector facilities.
• Understanding of sustainable building design and energy‑efficient solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Chartered status, or progress towards chartership, would be advantageous.

We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Christchurch team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys technical delivery, client engagement and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on complex and rewarding projects.
