Job summary

Juken New Zealand Ltd (JNL) in Kaitaia, Northland, invites applications for a Mechanical apprentice to join the Triboard Mill site. This full-time, on-site role includes block courses and structured study toward a NZ Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering Level 4.

You will be fully supported by our Engineering Team as you gain practical, hands-on experience during your 4-year apprenticeship. We are seeking candidates with a real passion for the industry, a positive attitude, mechanical

Qualifications

• Passion for the industry.
• Positive attitude with ambition and willingness to learn.
• Observant and mechanically minded.
• Commitment to 4 years of study while working.
• Reasonable fitness for a hands-on role.
• Confidence with IT, computers and technology.
• Good literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Learn on-the-job skills at Triboard Mill.
• Attend block courses and study towards NZ Trade Certificate.
• Work onsite full-time with Engineering Team support.
• Follow health and safety standards and quality processes.
