• Detailed knowledge, understanding and experience of current teaching methodologies and assessment practices.
• Ability to relate effectively to young people, colleagues and other stakeholders with strong relationship management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Positive and collaborative team member, showing enthusiasm and commitment to promoting faculties and respect to staff.

Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality mathematics and statistics programmes across Years 7–13 that reflect the New Zealand Curriculum, NCEA requirements, and the College’s values.
• Creating engaging and inclusive learning environments that support student achievement, wellbeing, and a love of learning.
• Planning, implementing, and evaluating effective teaching and assessment programmes to meet the diverse needs of learners.
• Contributing collaboratively to the mathematics faculty through curriculum development, resource sharing, assessment design, moderation, and the review of teaching and learning programmes.
• Using student achievement data to inform teaching practice, support learner progress, and improve outcomes.
• Participating in faculty, departmental, and school-wide initiatives that support the strategic goals of the College.
