Job summary

Bethlehem College in Tauranga invites applications for a positive, enthusiastic and passionate teacher to join our Secondary Mathematics Department. The successful applicant must have Experience and proven ability to teach up to Year 13 and contribute to leadership potential within maths.

Position commences Term 1, 2027. Applicants must understand the New Zealand curriculum and NZQA framework and have an active personal Christian faith, in line with the college’s Special Character.

Qualifications

• Must have current NZ teacher registration or be eligible for registration.
• Strong understanding of the New Zealand curriculum and NZQA framework.

Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics to Year 13 in the Secondary Department.
• Contribute to leadership within the Maths Department (potential role).
• Participate in religious instruction appropriate to the College's Special Character.

The successful applicant must have Experience and proven ability to teach up to Year 13. Potential for a leadership role (eg Assistant Head of Maths) for successful applicant. Must have a thorough understanding of the New Zealand curriculum and the NZQA framework. Applicants are required to have an active personal Christian faith.

Applicants are required to have an active personal Christian faith and a willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of Bethlehem College shall be a condition of appointment, as provided for in the school’s Integration Agreement and Schedule 6, Clause 47 of the Education and Training Act 2020.
