Job summary

The Theatre Royal Timaru is seeking a Marketing & Programming Manager to lead the theatre's marketing, programming and events. You will drive campaigns, digital channels, media, partnerships and community engagement to grow audiences and support artists and promoters.

This permanent, full-time role requires collaboration with the Theatre Manager, a creative and commercially minded leader who can turn ideas into action and shape a brand-new venue from the ground up.

Qualifications

  • Experience in marketing, communications, programming, events or the performing arts.
  • Ability to lead a team and turn ideas into action.
  • Excellent relationship-building and community engagement skills.

TheTheatre Royal is looking for a Marketing & Programming Manager for itsnewly established team!

Working alongside the TheatreManager, you'll help create a programme that attracts audiences, supportsartists and promoters, and reflects the character and interests of ourcommunity.

You'lllead the theatre's marketing and promotional activities, finding creative waysto build awareness, grow audiences and make the most of every performance andevent. From campaigns and digital channels to media, partnerships and communityconnections, you'll help ensure the Theatre Royal has a strong presence bothlocally and beyond.

Buildingrelationships will be a big part of the role. You'll work with artists,promoters, community groups, sponsors, local businesses and tourism partners tocreate opportunities, strengthen connections and bring more people through thedoors. You'll also use customer and market insights to spot new ideas andopportunities for the theatre.

We'relooking for someone with strong experience in marketing, communications,programming, events or the performing arts, along with the confidence to lead ateam and turn ideas into action. You'll be creative and commercially minded,with excellent relationship-building skills and a genuine passion for liveentertainment and community.

Mostimportantly, you'll be excited by the opportunity to help shape a brand-newvenue from the ground up.

Thispermanent full-time position offers 40 hours per week, with hours that may varyin accordance with performance bookings. The annual salary for this role is $83,409.45- $98,128.76 per annum.
