Are you a qualified Marine / Automotive Mechanic with a passion for the tourism sector? Watersports Queenstown is a unique and dynamic marine tourism group operating in the stunning surroundings of Lake Wakatipu.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Marine Mechanic to join our mechanical team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with jet skis and be flexible to work across a range of marine equipment within our group.

About the Role

As part of our skilled mechanical team, you’ll be hands-on with some of the most exciting marine machinery in New Zealand. From high-performance Seabreacher vessels and jet skis to Yamaha outboards and our wider fleet of water taxis and boats, your work will directly keep our adventures running smoothly.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a variety of marine craft.
• Diagnosing and fixing both mechanical and electrical issues to ensure maximum reliability.
• Installing and upgrading engines and systems as required.
• Maintaining accurate service logs and repair records.
• Collaborating with operations teams and external contractors to minimise downtime and maximise availability of vessels.
• Contributing to research and development projects for our unique adventure tourism vessels.
• Ensuring our workshop is clean, organised, and compliant with all Health & Safety requirements.
• Being adaptable and available during peak seasons to keep our fleet in top condition.

About You

2+ years’ experience in marine mechanics (Seadoo and Yamaha experience preferred).

Requirements include:

• A can-do attitude and pride in your workmanship.
• Friendly, team-oriented, and adaptable.
• Clean NZ driver’s licence.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload.
• Any marine licence is an advantage.
