Job summary

Babcock Australasia NZ is seeking a Unit Leader to head the Rigging & Transport team based in Devonport, Auckland. You will lead skilled tradespeople to deliver safe, high‑quality rigging and transport work on complex marine maintenance programmes.

In this hands‑on leadership role you will plan, coordinate and drive improvements while managing time and budget, developing your team and maintaining a strong safety culture across workshop and site activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading trade teams in engineering/maintenance environments.
• Trade-based rigging/mechanical expertise with a passion for safety and quality.
• Strong planning and coordination skills; able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Rigging & Transport team to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes on marine maintenance programmes.
• Influence planning, execution and continuous improvement across workshop and site activities.
• Develop capability and maintain a strong safety culture within the team.
