Job summary
Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) invites applications for a dedicated registered nurse to join our team delivering the Bachelor of Nursing Degree. The role focuses on te ao Māori teaching approaches and a kaupapa Māori curriculum to empower learners and support student success.
You will work with a collaborative nursing and support team to motivate, empower and mentor students along their Bachelor of Nursing education pathway, contributing to curriculum development and inclusive
Qualifications
- Be a registered Nurse with a current APC.
- Adult Teaching Certificate or willingness to complete.
- Previous education experience in tertiary education or similar.
- Proven knowledge of te reo me ōna tikanga.
- Postgraduate qualifications desired/currently undertaking.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Bachelor of Nursing Degree with te ao Māori focus.
- Collaborate within nursing and support teams to motivate students.
- Teach in kaupapa Māori (Māori-centred) manner.
- Contribute to curriculum development and teaching in tertiary education.
- Support diverse learning needs and foster an inclusive environment.
