Responsibilities:
- Create, standardize, and document manufacturing processes.
- Maintain and update BOMs, engineering drawings and documents.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes and implement approved changes to reduce nonvalue adding activities.
- Work directly with vendors and part suppliers on quality and/or engineering related issues.
- Assist Quality and Product Engineers to resolve manufacturing related quality issues.
The Position:
- Full time, on-site, salaried, exempt position. Newton Scientific offers competitive pay based on qualifications and experience, plus opportunities for annual merit increases and bonuses.
- Private dedicated office space near the production floor.
- Paid Total Time Off (TTO - vacation, personal, sick time) accrues 4 weeks per year and increases with your tenure at the company. You will also be eligible for 11 paid holidays annually.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electromechanical assembly.
- In-depth understanding of analog electronics and electronic components.
- Ability to create and modify mechanical engineering designs and drawings for fixtures or existing components, preferably with SolidWorks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on manufacturing experience.
- Ability to identify issues and propose improvement plans.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic ERP knowledge, ability to maintain BNOMs, create items, etc.
- Goal oriented, ability to self-direct and follow through on projects.
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of digital electronics.
- Programming experience, particularly in Python.
- Leadership skills, ability to work with and lead manufacturing technicians.
- Basic 3-D printing experience.
