Position: Manufacturing Analyst

The Opportunity

The Manufacturing Analyst is responsible for driving Enterprise Product Data Management processes (EPDM), facilitating product configurator reviews, conducting monthly reconciliations for financial reporting, and maintaining Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to support engineering change projects and workflows. Additionally, the role supports the Industrial Financial Systems (IFS) Change Coordinator role, focusing on Continuous Improvement initiatives and IFS modifications.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and manage the EPDM processes as the Waratah EPDM Administrator.
  • Facilitate monthly reconciliations with manufacturing knowledge of parts, assemblies, configuration structures, and labor routing for financial reporting. Investigate and resolve data issues.
  • Interpret and define the impact of engineering change and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Define annual product representative (REP) configurations.
  • Maintain ERP systems such as SAP, IFS, and PDM systems to support product change projects and workflows.
  • Report on part cost accuracy between the factory and WPI.
  • Facilitate configurator reviews, testing, and implement IFS modifications to support model options.
  • Create Power BI dashboards and visualizations from multiple data sources, including the enterprise data lake (EDL).
  • Identify inefficiencies and optimize or automate data collection and maintenance processes.
  • Support line balance and standard time efficiency improvements.
  • Manage engineering change numbers and execute limited scope manufacturing projects.
  • Support Smart Connected Factory initiatives.
  • Perform other manufacturing analyst duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications

Required skills, knowledge, and abilities include:

  • Understanding of ERP and decision release systems, with the ability to perform complex functions and teach others.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial engineering practices.
  • Proficiency in company information systems and processes.
  • Understanding of the enterprise product delivery process.
  • Ability to diagnose root causes of issues.
  • SQL and Databricks knowledge is advantageous.
Education and Experience

Qualifications include:

  • Degree in Engineering, Technology, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience (4+ years).
  • Experience in engineering work and participation in major projects.
  • Experience with engineering tools, systems, and databases (4+ years).
