Job summary

SME Careers is hiring a fully remote, hourly contractor to review AI-generated responses and generate language content. You will assess accuracy, clarity, and reasoning, provide expert feedback, and write model solutions across topics.

Role requires senior Mandarin localization judgment, English proficiency, and experience with MQM/LQA concepts. You will apply CAT tools and QA workflows to ensure high-quality outputs, fact-check content, and maintain consistent terminology across use cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Translation, Linguistics, Localization, Communications or related field.
• Native or near-native Chinese (Mandarin) proficiency; strong China locale conventions.
• Minimum C1 English proficiency for prompts and guidelines.
• 5+ years of professional localization/translation experience.
• Ability to apply MQM/LQA concepts to quality decisions.
• Proficiency with CAT tools and QA workflows; comfortable with structured guidelines.
• Excellent editorial judgment with attention to detail.
• Rigorous fact-checking of localized content with reliable sources.
• Comfort as an hourly contractor with clear documentation and time-zone responsiveness.
• Prior AI data training/annotation/evaluation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI training content and prompts across topics.
• Evaluate and rank AI responses to improve accuracy and relevance.
• Test AI models for inaccuracies and biases; validate reliability across use cases.
