Fixed-term RTLB Position – maternity leave cover (28 January 2026 – 8 December 2026)

Manawanui Cluster 10 is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic teacher to join our RTLB team on a fixed-term basis for 2026 to cover maternity leave. This role offers an excellent opportunity for teachers who are interested in RTLB work and would like to experience supporting schools and teachers to strengthen their inclusive practices.

This is a dynamic and varied position. As an itinerant practitioner, you will travel between schools each day, working alongside teachers, leaders, and whānau to provide responsive learning support services.

Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who:

• Has strong classroom practice in structured literacy and structured maths (NZ teaching experience required).
• Is passionate about inclusive education and building teacher capability.
• Brings leadership, coaching and/or mentoring skills.
• Works collaboratively in a strengths-based way.
• Is flexible, adaptive, and committed to quality service.
• A recognised teaching degree.
• Full New Zealand teacher registration.
• The right to work in New Zealand.
• A current driver’s licence and access to a car.
• Applicants who are provisionally registered are not eligible.
