The opportunity | Move beyond the status quo

Reporting tothe Group Manager, Consenting and Environment, you will lead a talented,multidisciplinary team and provide strategic oversight across Invercargill’stransport and roading portfolio. Your priority will be to create an integrateddirection for the function – strengthening asset management, aligninginvestment with risk and service needs, and connecting long-term strategy withoperational delivery.

You will:

• Develop a cohesive strategyacross roading, public transport and parking services
• Strengthen asset management,lifecycle planning and investment decisions

About you | Future thinking and leadership

Your keystrength will be your ability to lead people, think strategically and managecomplex infrastructure assets. You may come from transport, infrastructure,utilities, property, facilities or another asset-intensive environment.Exposure to roading or transport asset management would be valuable, but deeptechnical engineering expertise is not required.

You will bring:

• Proven leadership in a complex,multidisciplinary environment
• Strong strategic planning andasset management capability
• Commercial judgement andconfidence working within funding constraints
• The ability to turn long-termplans into practical investment and delivery
• Strong influencing, negotiationand stakeholder-management skills

You willalso hold a relevant tertiary qualification or bring an equivalent depth ofprofessional experience.
