Job summary

MCERT invites applications for the role of Manager, Spatial Planning, to lead a cross-government team shaping spatial planning policy and its rollout under the new planning system.   • Proven leadership and relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of policy development processes (legislation/regulation).
  • Experience with spatial planning policy and practice is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of spatial planning policy and national instruments.
  • Collaborate across MCERT and partner agencies to shape central government roles.
  • Contribute to legislative design and ensure policy settings are practical and effective.
  • Support the planning system transformation programme with other teams.
