The opportunity

As our Manager Internal Audit – Risk Consulting practice, you’ll play a crucial role in managing internal audit engagements to ensure the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. This role is based inWellington, New Zealand.

  • Manage internal audit engagements, including planning, execution, and reporting. Engage with clients and manage client relationships effectively
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. Ensure compliance with internal audit standards and relevant regulations.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members delivering Internal Audit, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

This is an onsite position based in our Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington). Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Skills and attributes for success

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or a related field, with strong analytical abilities and effective problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal capabilities are essential.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams.
  • Professional services experience or experience in working with a large complex multi-facet organisation desired. Ability to manage budgets and oversee the team delivering Internal Audit.

  • Professional accreditations and qualifications will also be considered favourably (CIA, CISM, CISSP, CBCP, CIPP, CPA, CISA, CA).
