Management Accountant / Financial Analyst

The Opportunity: You'll partner with the retail operations team to deliver financial insights that drive commercial performance. You'll own the monthly management reporting cycle, analyse store and product profitability, and build financial models that inform key business decisions.

Your day-to-day involves preparing variance analysis against budget, forecasting sales and margin performance across the network, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and presenting insights to senior leadership. You'll also support the annual budgeting process and contribute to strategic projects as the business expands.

The Role

The key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts with variance analysis against budget and prior year
  • Build rolling 12-month forecasts and lead the annual budgeting process
  • Analyse store-level P&L performance and identify trends across the retail network
  • Evaluate product and category profitability to inform range and pricing decisions
  • Present financial insights and recommendations to the senior leadership team
  • Partner with retail operations and merchandise teams on commercial decisions
  • Develop financial models for new store openings, capital expenditure, and strategic initiatives
  • Enhance financial reporting tools and streamline month-end processes
Your Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Three to five years' experience in management accounting or financial analysis
  • Working towards or completed CA/CPA qualification
  • Strong Excel skills including financial modelling and data analysis
  • Experience in retail, FMCG, or commercial environments preferred
  • Proven ability to translate financial data into commercial recommendations
  • Understanding of inventory management and margin analysis
