Job summary

University of Auckland is seeking a Development Manager to fundraise and partner with our Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences (FMHS) and institutes, connecting world-leading research, teaching and health initiatives with individual donors and philanthropic partners. You will manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and develop tailored engagement strategies for significant philanthropic investment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success securing major gifts and philanthropic investment.
• Experience managing a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, trusts or foundations.
• Ability to identify opportunities and solicit donors through a structured program.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects, trusts, foundations and corporate partners.
• Develop strategies to secure significant philanthropic support.
• Build relationships with donors, faculty leadership and University stakeholders.
• Create donor engagement plans, proposals and stewardship activities.
• Collaborate with the Dean and senior leaders to align fundraising with faculty priorities.
• Lead donor journey from identification to solicitation and stewardship.
