Qualifications

• Two years' relevant trade or maintenance experience
• Demonstrated technical aptitude and practical skills
• Ability to use computer systems and digital tools
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and preventative maintenance across aquatic facilities, plant and equipment
• Monitor and maintain water quality to support safe, compliant pool operations
• Identify and resolve routine maintenance issues, escalate complex issues when required
• Operate and maintain pumps, filtration, dosing and other aquatic plant and equipment
• Support safe chemical handling, water treatment and maintenance practices
• Use digital systems to record maintenance and support day-to-day operations
• Maintain high standards of safety, reliability and presentation across facilities
• Collaborate with the Aquatics team, contractors and other Council teams

Education

New Zealand Certificate in Aquatic Treatment Systems (L4)

Confined Space and Gas Monitoring trained
