Overview

Join RealNZ and help keep our iconic infrastructure running smoothly! We\'re looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and performance of RealNZ\'s infrastructure assets. If you\'re hands-on, safety-conscious, and thrive in a dynamic environment, this could be the role for you.

In this role, you\'ll be responsible for carrying out maintenance activities on infrastructure assets in line with RealNZ policies and industry best practices, while accurately recording tasks and reporting any defects or deficiencies. You\'ll support engineering and project-related work, which may include occasional remote assignments and on-call duties, and ensure strict compliance with safety procedures and infrastructure regulations. At times, you\'ll provide guidance to apprentices and labourers, while also contributing to the successful delivery of projects within budget and agreed timelines.

What You\'ll Do / Responsibilities
  • Carry out maintenance activities on infrastructure assets in line with RealNZ policies and industry best practices.
  • Accurately record tasks and report defects or deficiencies.
  • Support engineering and project-related work, including occasional remote assignments and on-call duties.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures and infrastructure regulations.
  • Provide guidance to apprentices and labourers when required.
  • Contribute to successful delivery of projects within budget and agreed timelines.
What You\'ll Bring / Qualifications
  • A relevant trade qualification and a current driver\'s licence.
  • Minimum 3 years\' experience working with heavy equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Leadership capability and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Experience with computer-based maintenance systems (preferred).
  • Familiarity with reliability-centred maintenance practices (preferred).
