Job summary

Fulton Hogan in Wellington is seeking a Maintenance Fitter / Fitter Welder to service, maintain and repair mobile and fixed plant at our workshop. You’ll contribute to safe, reliable operations with a team that values practical problem solving and a proactive safety mindset.

The role requires NZQA trade qualifications, a Class 1 driving licence (Class 2 preferred), and a commitment to doing the job right first time. Training and development are available.

Qualifications

• NZQA trade qualification in your relevant trade.
• Minimum Class 1 driving licence; Class 2 preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety, wellbeing and doing the job right first time.
• Practical, proactive approach with good problem solving and willingness to learn.
• Reliable, respectful, team-focused with ability to build strong working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on mobile and fixed plant and machinery.
• Use workshop tools and equipment safely, correctly and effectively.
• Follow safety, environmental and quality processes and speak up when something looks wrong.
• Contribute to pre-starts, tailgates and safety meetings, and report incidents, near misses and hazards.
• Work closely with the team to deliver quality work on time, within budget, and keep the workshop clean and organised.
