Job summary

Ravensdown Napier Works is seeking two Maintenance Fitters to join our team. You will perform emergency breakdown, preventive, and predictive maintenance on plant, equipment, and mechanical services, including mills, conveyors, pumps, and screens. A strong safety culture and teamwork are essential.

Hourly rate $42-$47 per hour plus allowances, with health, life, and income protection insurances as part of a supportive cooperative environment. Applications close Friday 25 September 2026.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar maintenance environment.
• Ability to work in high pressure environments and maintain safety.
• Experience working in an effective team environment.
• Experience with rotating and materials handling equipment.
• Desirable: manual machining or limited electrical licenses.
• Excellent communication and professional approach to your work.

Responsibilities

• Preventive maintenance via proactive inspections and reporting to Scheduler.
• Complete corrective maintenance on site with maintenance coordinator.
• Ensure maintenance minimizes impact on plant operations.
• Fix breakdowns safely and return plant to service promptly.
• Identify areas for continuous improvement across the team.
• Learn plant operations to become a Subject Matter Expert.
