Hellers Ltd is a leading New Zealand manufacturer and distributor of Bacon, Ham and Smallgoods. Our award-winning quality brands enjoy significant and growing customer and consumer recognition.

We are looking for an experienced and talented repairs engineering professional based in Wiri, where we operate a factory and warehousing & logistics facilities. This is a key support role where you will be charged with ensuring equipment repairs and modifications are undertaken effectively to meet our operational standards.

3 years minimum experience in food related industry, trade certificate / limited electrical ticket an advantage.

You will need to be a jack of all trades from a stainless welding to overall plant support. Your previous experience with major line servicing schedules, fault finding plus project works will help you ensure everything from our machinery to the workshop door is working as it should.

You will have a real can-do attitude and enjoy being part of a diverse wider team. It's vital our equipment is expertly maintained so you will be responsible for delivering modifications, repairs or service installations competently and effectively. Engineering trade qualified, you will have the support of the rest of the Engineering team, with whom you'll also engage on day-to-day.

We Have Two Options For Roster

Monday to Friday 5.30am to 2.00pm

OR

Tuesday to Saturday 5.30am to 2.00pm

This is a great opportunity to make a strong contribution, and further develop yourself, across the wide range of workshop and general operations here at Hellers. Ideally you will have had exposure with contractor site works, however most importantly you take enormous pride in delivering quality work - ensuring New Zealanders' continued celebration of everyday moments with great food!
