Job summary

Abbott in Auckland, New Zealand, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to execute planned and reactive maintenance ensuring plant, equipment and infrastructure operate safely and efficiently. You will perform preventative maintenance, fault finding, repairs and equipment improvements to minimise downtime and support cost-effective production.

The role requires a recognised trade qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering and demonstrated maintenance experience in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Recognized trade qualification in mechanical, maintenance or electrical engineering.
• Demonstrated maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Strong fault-finding and repair capability with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Execute planned and reactive maintenance per schedules and work instructions.
• Inspect, repair and maintain plant and equipment to required standards.
• Diagnose mechanical/electrical faults and perform timely repairs to minimise downtime.
• Escalate complex issues for investigation and implement improvements.
• Record maintenance activities and equipment condition in the system.
• Comply with ISO quality and health & safety policies.
