Overview

Machine Operator – Upper Hutt. We’re looking for an experienced machine operator to join a busy factory in Upper Hutt. This is a great opportunity to put your technical skills to work on a long-term project running until approximately April/May next year, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

• Operating press brake, laser, and plasma machines
• Manual handling of materials – must be physically fit
• Scanning parts and checking off orders with accuracy
• Ensuring quality and precision in all tasks
• Operating a forklift (experience required)
• Using an overhead crane (preferred but not essential)
• Working collaboratively in a busy production and dispatch environment

You’ll need

• Demonstrated experience with press brake/laser/plasma machines
• Forklift licence/experience (required)
• Overhead crane experience (advantageous)
• Strong numerical skills and accuracy with paperwork
• Physically fit, reliable, and safety conscious
• Good communication skills and a team-focused approach
