Job summary

UrbanGreen Design and Landscapes Limited is seeking a skilled machine operator for earthworks and landscaping in Tauranga. You will handle site works, pad preparation, and assist with retaining walls on large-scale projects.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in earthworks, experience with excavators and 5+ ton machines, and a full NZ driver’s licence. Role based in Tauranga with occasional travel to Waikato region; permanent position with ongoing work.

Qualifications

UrbanGreen Design and Landscapes oƯer complete landscape and construction
packages. This includes landscape design, site preparation, earthworks, retaining walls,
decks, fences, structures, lakeside renovations, driveways, and planting. We focus on
large scale residential projects/developments, commercial projects, and environmental
restoration.
We are looking for a motivated and experienced machine operator (5+ years) to join our
team. We work within the Bay of Plenty, so you can be in Tauranga, Whakatane and/or
Rotorua. You will be primarily based in Tauranga/Rotorua but will be required to travel
occasionally to work in the Waikato region. This is ongoing, permanent employment.
Reporting to the Site Foreman/ Supervisor. You will complete the following tasks-
Work includes site works, pad preparation, retaining walls, landscaping works
Actively participate within the site project team to meet the specific
project/works quality and time requirements.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Maintain and respect personal, company and client equipment, property, and
plant.
Comply with all health and safety requirement, be responsible for own safety
and the safety of others, comply with company safety requirement and advise of
any safety concerns to foreman.
Utilise skills, knowledge, and experience to complete the works adequately the
first time to eliminate rework requirements.

Our ideal candidate will
Have at least 5 years experience in earthworks and retaining walls including
5+Ton machines
Demonstratable experience operating excavators, skid steer, class 4 trucks
Experience with laser levels and pad preparation
Be able to demonstrate ability to work oƯ plans
Landscaping experience
An ability to learn and apply learnings
Have a Full NZ Drivers License, Class 2, Class 4
Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
Have a tidy appearance and be a good team member.
Have the ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.
